I've got an old PC IBM Cyrix M II -333 with 96mb Win98_se
Basic stuff on it.
Has Broadband capabilities (sympatico Access Manger)with Ethernet. Have loaded Norton AV 2003
Maybe I should be more specific, My Anti-Virus appears to be running very very slowly. (It does run)
When I'm connected to the internet through my lan this PC runs (Starts-up) great. When I disconnect the Ethernet cable it starts up and runs like a snail. (Is this an network setting? or something)
I've checked to see what is running at startup and have elminated things like an Adobe , wincritcal upate and I have configured Norton AV to NOT initiate it's live update program.
I can't seem to see whats running.
(All the good stuff has been run with latest updates, adaware, spybot, critical updates and full AV scan)
