hi again, hope you guys can help
a good friend of mine has the following message come up everytime it is powered up

"stop:c000021a (fatal system error)
the windows log on process sytem process terminated unexpectedly
with a status of oxc0000142 (ox00000000 ox00000000)
the system has been shut down"

all this was since her daughter started downloading Now there is no login for lindsay although there is for mum and dad. (this was found out while booting up in safe mode)

I have tried a virus scan which revealed a trojan but they said that's been there a while now.

I am writing this from my own computer as they cannot.

any help with this would be greatly appreciated

thanks for that but it is a windows xp home edition which is running. Plus how do you run anything, especially from the internet as the computer will not fire the internet up.
