This is my first attempt to build a computer. I was looking at an awesome deal that comes with the case and motherboard, cd drive, mouse, keyboard, speakers. The motherboard says: "With support for AMD Athlon, Athlon XP and Duron processors." Does this mean that I would not be able to use and intel on it? Or does it just say that because AMD owns the company or something? Thanks!

It means it will only take an AMD chip of the type listed.
