How often should you run the custom scan that you guys always post to do. I ran it when I first installed it and found nothing. That's been about a month. I run the regular scan once a week.

My personal preference is to run a full custom scan whenever a new reference file is released ... lately, that has been every other day ... 
The Smart Scan option should be OK for normal use ... it has a pre-configured set of options that will examine the most common areas.

Thanks for the info, but I really don't surf that many different sites to custom scan on all the updates. Thanks for all the replys.
