Welcome to TSG!
Most quick time programs have an associated uninstaller with them in their Mother folder. You can use that uninstaller or go through the add/remove in the control panel.
As for screwing up other files there are certian programs and files that require quick Time and will not run on other players.
Question.....Why do you wish to uninstall Quick Time?
If it is because it is being used for opening up all types of media you can change the file associations for selected types.
Thanks for your reply Davey 7549.I have windows media player and realplayer and figured thats enough but,I figured quicktime might screw up becauseof the box that appears and stated removing quicktime system extensions can cause applications to malfunction and i was concerned.
I see. Unless you are hurting for drive space I would suggest leaving QuickTime on. There are some applications that will require QuickTime to run them. I agree there are not many but you will encounter them through your travels.
