ran the adobe 6.0 tryout and time ran out and I removed it. Now when I run the application I get a message that "The create abdobe PDF monitor cannot be found. Please reinstall Create adobe pdf.

I don't want to buy acrobat and reinstalling reader didn't fix it.

Also under the file drop options there is a create adobe pdf selection - odd that the deinstall doesn't remove that choice

Not odd, really. All the programs do that, and it does suck.

See the information about Startup folders in the Word Troubleshooting described at www.theofficeexperts.com/word.htm
Remove the files from your Word Startup folder.
You may also need to go to Start-Settings-Printers and remove it as a printer.
