What is the difference between Adobe Reader and Acrobat Reader. I have Acrobat Reader 5, downloaded from a site I found, and just downloaded Adobe Reader 6 from their site. Are they both needed on your system? If not, which one is better, I know you need one to read certain files off the net.

No difference, they are just different versions. If you have 6, you don't need 5.

The difference people experience is that there is:
Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat Reader

They are two different things and are often confused.
Acrobat MAKES PDF files, while Reader READS them (just a viewer, really).

NGSSoftware issued an alert awhile back about a possible security issue with Acrobat reader buffer overflow. Supposedly, this is on version 5, and upgrading to version 6 has this security hole plugged. I haven't heard about any actual problems happening, but just figured I would point this out.
