Acer Veriton N281G is almost useless. Can I upgrade to SSD?

Hi, I'm new here.

I recently bought an Acer Veriton N281G, it has an Intel Atom D425 @ 1.8 GHz, 4 Gb RAM and a mechanical HDD, but it's almost useless, for some reason it didn't install a video driver so I tried to get it manually but never found one. I can't even open Chrome or Edge to watch a video or open an Excel file without wanting to throw it in front of a bus.

I guess the question is if upgrading to a new SSD will fix that? Or the video and other tasks will still suck?
