Acer m1640 wont boot black screen with blinking cursor help!!!!

hi

i have an acer m1640 when i turn it on it the acer logo apears then an black screenwith an white blinking cursor when i try an go to f8 noting happens when i try and reinstall vista the files load an when the green bars are going by it freezes plz help thx

hello
try this. reboot hold the alt key down while gently tapping the f10 key. it should enter into the recovery partition. If it does successfully you will lose all data you dont have backed up!!
our you can wait and see if anyone else can advise.

hi
i tired it this morning it went to the recovery then it said put the cd in and restart i did then it took me to pick an operating system there was non but i sttill pressed enter and it took me back to the recovery screen
