i have a tab control on a form with three buttons/tabs. I want to set focus to a control in a subform in the first tab. i set the OnCLICK event for the BUTTON in the first tab to set focus to the subform and then the control. When i run the form and click the BUTTON nothing happens but if i click on the side of the current tabform/page like where the control shows the "detail" section the design mode THEN the control receives focus. I put the code in the BUTTON event section and NOT the detail event section . Anyone know whats going oon here with this or what im doing wrong? prob ALL i want is to click on the BUTTON not the "DETAIL" part of the page and have the OnClick event happen. this is really confusing me. THANKS!

ok never mind cancel this one too ....dont need any events or code.to do this.

i simply wasant setting the tab order of the current PAGE to the second subform which is the one i wanted setfocus to when activated. i then set taborder to the control on that subform i wanted first and works fine now - someday maybe ill grow a brain..
