I am having a problem with Active Directory. I am not able to connect to AD on the server from my machine. I had been able to in the past. When ever I try to connect I receive this error

Naming information cannot be located because
The server is not Operational.
Contact you system administrator to verify that your domain is porperly configured and is currently online.

I checked the properties for TCI/IP filtering and it is set to allow all on the server and on my machine. There is no problem using AD on the server itself. I am out of ideas do you guys have any?

Thanks,
Richard

Not sure if this is much help but are they connected together under the same domain and named the same workgroup ex. mshome?
Just the first thought that came to mind

Correct, they are on the same domain. I also rejoined my machine to the domain and still got the same error message. How about this if the server was logged in as administrator then was rebooted and logged in using administrator2 account would that have caused me a loss of connectivy to AD.

if the settings are saved for all users I can't see it. If the settings are user specific than absolutely you would need to set up for that user unless it posted automatically
