Does anyone know of any FREE virus programs i can download that actually work?

The problem is, i keep getting the same pop ups.. I downloaded "spybot" and it worked.. but now i have another problem. When im searching the internet ALL of my internet windows will close out and i have to start all over. It took me 15 minutes to register for this site! Someone please help!

Hi Welcome to TSG!!

Get hijackthis: http://www.majorgeeks.com/HijackThis_d3155.html

Make sure you save the file to a permanent folder and post a log.

To create a permanent folder click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar click on File, New, Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder.
Put your HijackThis.exe into that folder.

Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
