I have a vintage (1998) Dell computer. I rarely use the "A" drive but tonight I needed to use it. It would not read any disk (just kept grinding) and I could not write to the disk either. After a minute or so of grinding I got the blue screen of death and had to reboot. I tried several disks with the same results. Does this mean the drive has gone bad?
