I have one of those standard 9in1 media readers (SD,MMC,MS,MS-PRO,xD,CF,MD,etc...), but i'm still use to the floppy disk generation. Nowadays, most new computers don't even have floppy disks, for obvious reasons. So, I was wondering what is the best type of flash/media drives to use for general storage and transportation? I was thinking about just getting a USB 2.0 flash drive, but would another one like SD or someting be better?

The USB flash drive is the better choice because every computer has a USB port, few have Media Card Readers. The readers are useful for cards for camera's, PDA's, and phones.

USB Flash Drives are cheap too... $20~30 for 1GB, $50~100 for 4GB.

No reader required... those are needed for cameras and other devices.

Recently, the bargain sites have had a bunch of FLASH drives for free or very cheap after rebate. I have three 1gig ones, two 2gig ones, and a 4gig one, and my total cash outlay is less than $30 after the rebates. :D Keep your eyes peeled. ;)
