I want to buy a SONY wireless network card, here's what I am confused at.

802.11 g (compatible with 11b) 2.5 gbps is cheaper than the card that supports 802.11a/b at 11 mbps which is again cheaper than the card that supports 802.11/11b at 54 mbps.

Am I missing something ?

Please help.

You totally confused me with your comparison, please post links to the three devices you're asking about.
My suggestion is that if money is of importance, you are best going with the 802.11b, because you won't likely be able to take advantage of the 54Mb on your average network. Otherwise, 802.11a and 802.11g are both 54MBs excepts 802.11g operates at the 2.4 Ghz range instead of the 802.11a at 5Ghz freq.
And, 802.11g is downward compatible with 802.11b, which is significant unless you're going to upgrade everything you have to 802.11a.
