1036 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ~Candy~
How do I change the Boot sequence on a 386 from A to B drive?
A is 5 1/4 floppy and B is 3 1/2 floppy
I didn't see anything in the BIOS

You'll need to enter your bios setup and change it there.....

Is this a combo drive with the a and b drive in the same unit?
Hi Jcapstick

If you can't find anything in the bios (some bioses have a device swap option A to B) just switch the end of the cable plugged in the a drive with the end of the cable plugged in the B drive and enter the bios to redefine your A and B drives. BOL
Hi again Jcapstick, instead of editing your post, hit the reply button after someone has answered the first post....otherwise we won't go back to see that you've added more...

How about the choice to have A on top, B on bottom? Anything like that?

And my question about the combo drive --- are they both in the same unit? or two different bays?
The Drives are in seperate bays
5 1/4 is A:\ and B:\is 3 1/2
Booting to A:, I need the B:\ for the 3 1/2 floppy
Take another look at Lurker1's posting....give that a try.
