I have a 2 meg connection but in the local area connection status window it shows my connection speed as 100.0mbps, I am assuming this means I am only getting 1 meg instead of 2. I am currently connected via my ethernet port would I be better connecting via USB?

Cheers Stu

You have a 100 Mbps LAN network, and a 2Mbps (broadband?) connection. Your LAN status window shows a 100 Mbps connection speed (by definition on your LAN). Your limiting factor in any connection to the outside world is the (broadband?) 2Mbps connection. So, very, very, very, roughly speaking your LAN speed is up 50 times the speed of the internet connection.

Now, what is the question?

I'm wouldn't consider USB for a moment.
