No, If you hook up two keyboards they will both work of the same drivers. :)

You would think there would be a way around this driver problem as that was what I noticed at first but I guess there is not... None the less I have just decided to get a second pc to solve this issue.. lol

For the record, the problem isn't with Windows, but your system BIOS. The driver for the keyboard isn't really a driver--it's actually just an interface between the operating system and the BIOS (which really controls the keyboard). Your BIOS sees your keyboard as a IRQ 1 device.

Note: You can have separate keyboards that act differently, but they are for specific software, not controlled by Windows.

Well that was sort of what I was wanting to use the seperate keyboard/mouse for was software. I play a game called everquest and it would help if I didnt have to alt tab out between multiple clients..

I know there is quite a few bios mods out there but I have yet to find one just for this purpose.. Maybe I should just learn how to mod the bios myself.. lol...
