2 computers and 1 monitor

 My daughter is getting a new computer (she'll be using the new one for games and the internet)but because she has several older programs on her old one she wants to keep she is keeping her older one. I was wondering if there was a way to connect both computers to the one monitor. They would not be in use at the same time. She's just trying to avoid having to plug, unplug and plug in again in order to switch machines. Having two monitors is out of the question because of space limitations.

Hi brookyjoann

Sure just get a KVM switch. You can get sevel different kinds. some automatically change others require you to push a button. Just do a web search or visit your local computer store.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply. Glad there's a solution. I was wondering how we were going to pull this off.
