I was running an app recently and when I wanted to turn the app off I went to the Taskbar then right-clicked on the mouse but did not see 'turn off app' or 'close app' or words to that effect. In Windows XP Home I'm pretty sure the wording was unequivocal, 'turn off app' or something like that...

As you can see from the screenshot I want to shut down/close this program which is Convert X To DVD. But all I see option wise is 'close window' - is that the same as 'close program' ? If not then how do I shut down/close a program or an app so that there isn't a build up of programs and apps...
